Climb Back in the Saddle

Let me ask you a question – one that I have recently had to answer myself and really dig deep into. What is really holding you back from chasing the dream that God has placed inside of you?

Fear? Fear of what others will think? Fear of being vulnerable and putting your true self out there?

Lies from the Enemy? Satan whispering lies to you that you’re not good enough?

Comparison? Looking at what others have that you don’t, so what is the point of even trying?

Yourself? Do you self-sabotage?

All of the above?!?

Only you can answer that question. Without even thinking, write down your God-sized dream on a sheet of paper quick. Grab an old napkin, or the back of a junk mail envelope – whatever. Write it down. That is the 1st step into chasing that dream! Step 2 is praying about it. Before you take any action whatsoever, talk to God about it. Better yet, be still and listen. Let God talk to YOU about it.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says this,

“For I know the plans I have for you,

declares the Lord,

plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.”

Your dreams were placed inside of you for a purpose – God’s purpose. If you’re on the right track, He will indeed prosper your efforts.

Step 3 – Climb back in the saddle. Start chasing those dreams. And do it with God’s blessings. God gave you NOT a spirit of fear, so don't let fear hold you back.

Colossians 3:23 (ESV)

“Whatever you do, work heartily,

as for the Lord and not for men.”
